Ocean images I spotted a few months back and they seem to fit well together. ….We’ve been having gorgeous summer day these past few weeks. There has been no surf, it is summer after all. So not sure why I wanted so long to try (standing up paddling). Of course i L O V E it, and I am so addicted to it that 2 hours out in the sea, makes me feel complete.

Had a delicious swim at the beach today, it was a very sunny, hot day. The water temperature was freezing but it felt soooo GOOD swimming out there! Tomorrow is going to be even hotter than today … Hello August – I’m expecting some more sunshine!Before the swim though, I painted my kitchen wall shelves white. Nothing special about that but after I arrange a few things here and there … I might make it look fresh and new. Cant wait to get started on it tomorrow.

Not sure how the weather is out there for you but the wind is wild here today. Sounds cozy and it’s a good day out for windsurfing….Since sometime back I noticed these beautiful and STUNNiNG black and white photos by Hengki Koentjoro on flickr. If you’re blown away by what you see, make sure you check him out on fllckr.….Well, there is no big storm here but I’m sure if i was out in the water today,  I would be enjoying the rough sea and duck diving under the roaring waves…

For a calm day out in a lake, or if you dare out in the sea. This transparent Canoe Kayak is too cool to be true. I’m sure this is nothing new for lots of people, specially for Canadians! Though it is for me, the idea to see everything below you while you paddle out, sounds amazing…: Have you ever seen one or been on one like this before? { source: here and here }

Now for something a little down to earth, very peaceful and stunning photography by Gregory Colbert
“When I started Ashes and Snow in 1992, I set out to explore the relationship between man and animals from the inside out. In discovering the shared language and poetic sensibilities of all animals, I am working towards restoring the common ground that once existed when people lived in harmony with animals.” Gregory Colbert

A few weeks ago on November 2, Andy Irons, three-time world champion surfer passed away unexpectedly at the age of 32. Friends, fans and admires came together around the world, for an honorary paddle-out to pay tribute to his legacy. One of the locations was at my home-town surfing spot, Avalon. It’s a gorgeous little beach that draws great surfers…and where I use to hang out ALL the time after school, every chance I got, back in the old days. So it means a lot to me to see these photos and footage below…it’s very sad but at the same time, it must of have been a truly magical experience…: Photos from Tracks Magazine

And last  Sunday, November 14, Family, friends and fans came together at Andy Irons home-town, Kauai  in Hawaii, to paddle out and join hands to pay tribute (a Hawaiian tradition) and say their last goodbyes. Andy is survived by his very pregnant wife Lyndie, his brother Bruce and his parents…I think its amazing the impact it has brought…the unity, the love and the Aloha Spirit from surfers around the world in times of need….peace x

Looking for inspiration on where to go to Europe? Why not check out the stunning Outdoor Photo Exhibition of the Wild Wonders of Europe; 100 life-size nature photographs taken by 69 of Europe’s finest photographer. I was there the other night for the second time in one week. I recommend the evening is the best time of the day to go – it’s very peaceful and hardly no-one around. The photos are so enormous that they almost feel like they are going to come to life. Times like that would help to be taller and get a better perspective … More importantly, it reminded me that Europe has more to offer besides historical (concrete) cities. I was surprised to see such impressive beautiful photos of animals and nature. Places like Croatia and Spain …and I thought I had seen plenty of Spain already!.

I hope you get the chance to see the Outdoor Exhibition since it will be in tour throughout Europe: In The Hague, The Netherlands till August 30…:Wild Wonders of Europe

If I was an animal in my past life, I must have been a Sea Turtle … I am slow on the land but fast and strong under water …ha ha haaa, I just love turtles!
